Batch Processing of Employee Leave on the Calendar


Batch processing of leave is facilitated in BrightPay in a number of ways:

  • users can record a number of separate leave dates for the same employee at the same time

  • users can record a single leave date for multiple employees at the same time

  • users can also record a number of separate leave dates for multiple employees at the same time

 



a) To record a number of separate leave dates for the same employee at the same time

  1. Click 'Employees' and select the required employee from the listing

  2. Select 'Calendar' on the menu toolbar to display the employee's calendar on screen

  3. Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard, and whilst doing so, click on each of the leave dates you wish to record on the employee's calendar

  4. Select the appropriate type of leave from the listing of leave types offered on the right side of the calendar

  5. All the selected leave dates will now be recorded on the employee's calendar in the colour associated with the leave type chosen






b) To record a leave date for multiple employees at the same time

 

  1. Click 'Employees' and select a relevant employee from the listing

  2. Select 'Calendar' on the menu toolbar to display the chosen employee's calendar on screen

  3. Select the leave date you wish to apply

  4. Next, click the drop down arrow on the type of leave you wish to apply from the listing on the right side of the calendar, followed by 'Set for Multiple Employees...'

  5. Select the employees for whom you wish to record the same leave date and click 'OK'

  6. The selected leave date will now be recorded on each applicable employee's calendar in the colour associated with the leave type chosen

 





c) To record a number of leave dates for multiple employees at the same time

 

  1. Click 'Employees' and select a relevant employee from the listing

  2. Select 'Calendar' on the menu toolbar to display the chosen employee's calendar on screen

  3. Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard, and whilst doing so, click on each of the leave dates you wish to record on the calendar

  4. Next, click the drop down arrow on the type of leave you wish to apply from the listing on the right side of the calendar, followed by 'Set for Multiple Employees...'

  5. Select the employees for whom you wish to record the same leave dates and click 'OK'

  6. The selected leave dates will now be recorded on each applicable employee's calendar in the colour associated with the leave type chosen

 

 

 

 

Unsetting leave dates for multiple employees

Should you wish to unset a leave date (or dates) that have been assigned to multiple employees, simply follow the instructions for either b) or c) above, depending on your requirements, but instead select 'Unset for Multiple Employees...'  at Step 4.
