Please view our tutorial video on how to add your ROS Certificate to BrightPay here
When you are ready to start processing your payroll in BrightPay, the first thing you will need to do is to try to retrieve RPNs for the employees from Revenue. The software will prompt you that a RPN needs to be retrieved.
In order to retrieve an RPN or send a PSR to Revenue you will need to add your ROS Certificate to BrightPay.
You can add your ROS certificate by two methods:
1. If you try to retrieve an RPN and don’t have a ROS certificate added BrightPay will prompt you that no ROS certificate has been added. Select Manage ROS certificate > Add Certificate
2. Or you can add it by selecting the Cog symbol on the top right hand side of the screen. On the menu bar please select ROS certificates.
Select Add Certificate
Browse to the location of where your ROS cert is saved to and select the file and click Open.
Please enter your ROS certificate password.
There is a box to tick to remember the password for this certificate. Please tick this box if you want to securely store the password for this certificate in your Bright ID so that you do not have to enter it each time the certificate is used.
Select Continue
Your ROS certificate details will show on the screen including the certificate type. If it is an Agent ROS certificate please select Agent Certificate and the field for entering your TAIN will populate. Enter in your TAIN and select Confirm.
Your ROS certificate has now been saved to your Bright Id.
Please note: If there are multiple users accessing an employer or employer in the Organisation each user will need to upload the ROS certificate too.
In BrightPay you can upload multiple employer or Agent ROS certificates if required.
If you select the Spanner symbol opposite a saved ROS certificate you can access options like editing the details, downloading the ROS certificate or deleting the ROS certificate.
Now you can request to retrieve the RPNS for employees before you process your first pay period with the ROS certificate you added.
